Twenty two years ago a small group of men from Madison attended the second Men’s Promise Keepers gathering in Boulder Colorado. Along with 70,000 other men we sang, we prayed, we were challenged to make a difference in our city. We responded and the Jericho Project was born. Our tagline was “working together for spiritual and social transformation in the city.” Over the years, the Jericho Project hosted the annual Wisconsin Prayer Breakfast, sponsored Pastors Prayer Summits, and organized a landmark city wide prayer walking initiative that is used as a guide for prayer today. Several years ago the Jericho Project phased out, but the passion and the need to work together remains. That’s why we created the New Jericho Project.
